Google Scholar

We are now included in Google Scholar as Full-text @ Bank Street. If you would like to try this out there is a courtesy link for Google Scholar on our database page.

If you go to Google Scholar at Bank Street  you will find that Bank Street College of Education – Full-text at Bank Street is already selected (see 1).

Google Scholar settings

Off site you will have to search and add us as one of your five institutions (see 2) don’t forget to save (see 3). Now you are ready to search!

When you do a search, Google Scholar looks through the web and our Index A-Z and returns a list of results. If we have access to an article through our databases, a Full-text @ Bank Street link appears on the right-hand side. When you click the link you will be directed back to our resources.

Google Scholar links for Lucy Sprague Mitchell

The link page looks something like this:

Google Scholar links pop-up box

In the example above you have two choices, the first through EBSCOhost, and the second through ProQuest (at home you will need your 14 digit Library barcode number). At present  link page results work well with EBSCOHost databases. If you get any error messages for a particular journal, please let us know. Some are easily fixed, especially those that mention libproxy.

I am a reference librarian at Bank Street College Library.
