Donate Blood Now…

Have you thought about donating blood? Apparently summer is the time when blood donations are needed more than ever. With this in mind Bank Street staff have organized a blood mobile to be in front of the college (610 West 112th Street) on Monday July 27th from 10:00am to 6:00pm. If you’d like to know more about donating blood contact Carol at x 4456 or Christina at x 4789. The following website New York Blood Center will also help to answer your questions.

Come and see Carol’s display of books on the body. There are also the following three books suitable for children on the life and times of Charles Richard Drew, M. D. blood plasma pioneer:

  1. Charles Drew : pioneer of blood plasma by Linda Trice.
  2. Charles Richard Drew, M.D. by Rinna Evelyn Wolfe.
  3. The life of Charles Drew by  Katherine S. Talmadge.
