Todd Parr

On Wednesday March 24th, Bank Street Library was graced with a visit by children’s book author Todd Parr. He read School for Children favorites like:

  1. “It’s Okay to be Different”
  2. “Underwear Do’s and Don’ts”
  3. “Otto Goes to the Beach”
  4. “The I LOVE YOU Book.”

Todd's Books

Parr expressed his main theme of it’s okay to be different by drawing a pretty cool bunny with pink hair, earrings and high heels.

He also answered questions as to why he promotes putting underwear in the freezer in his new release, “The EARTH book,” when he clearly lists it as a don’t in his “Underwear Do’s and Don’ts,” book.

Everyone Laughs

His answer was , “You gotta do what you gotta do to stay cool.”  He ended the visit by saying it’s okay to be you, Love Todd.

Thank you Audrey (Technical Services Assistant) for the photographs and the review.

Reference librarian at Bank Street College Library.
