Perhaps some of you have noticed a little snafu with our new printing system? All appears to go well when you type in your username and password, but you head to the printer, swipe your card and nothing happens?
Well apparently there is a mysterious “queue” where print jobs sometimes go to die. Do not despair, if you tap your card and nothing prints out, please come to the reference or circulation desk and let us know. We can check this mysterious queue in Papercut and release your job for you. What’s that you say? You sent your job 5 times in a fit of desperation (or totally accidentally)? No worries. We can help with that also by deleting your extra jobs from the queue. So please see us if you are having any printing issues at all. We are here to help 🙂
P.S. We really wish we could share why this is happening, but that is still a mystery to all of us right now.
