Reference Questions: Diversity

Q: I’m looking for multicultural books/books reflecting diversity for the classroom.

A: This broad query is a perennial one, and diversity is a big issue in children’s book publishing (see NYPL’s Betsy Bird’s recent blog post and the ensuing debate in the comments).

We have a substantial number of books that fit the bill and a keyword search on the catalog of various terms will bring good results. But we’d also like to draw your attention to other resources, such as our book lists:
