Lately library staff have been getting into making bulletin board displays. We’re always on the look-out for novel ways to attract patrons to a new resource. One online app we’ve been playing with is The Rasterbator (OK, we agree the product could have a name change). Basically it can turn any image on your hard drive or with a URL into a dot-filled poster – great all by itself or as a background.
Here’s what we did. We dropped the image above (Maisy’s Library Card) into the Drag image file here zone, then followed steps 2-5 (easy)!
And, this is what we got. An amazing, fun, Maisy mash-up poster. This is one simple experiment. We’re hoping to instagram some more creations in the coming weeks.
