Thanks for guessing at our mystery material in the #archives ! You're seeing some very distressed thermal fax paper. Fax (facsimile) machines were in wide use by 1990, when this printout occurred. Some fax machines used heat to print information to thermal paper. But this means any warmth, short or long term, can affect information on thermal paper! Our #archivist guesses that past drops of hot tea or coffee may have landed on this page.
